Kevin Punter is enjoying his time at FC Barcelona, expressing a strong desire to extend his stay: "Most definitely."
Kevin Punter is delighted with his time at FC Barcelona and is optimistic about extending his stay in Catalonia. He signed a one-year contract last summer after arriving from Partizan.
"Most definitely. I've thought about it, and I've asked myself certain questions. But definitely, for sure, 100%," he told Barca TV when asked if he would like to extend his stay.
At 31, Punter is in his ninth season in Europe and has shifted his focus away from his once-obsessive dream of playing in the NBA.
"Until my seventh season in Europe, I was constantly thinking about how to get to the NBA every summer. I wasn't really at ease with it," Punter admitted. "Now, in my ninth season, I'm kind of accustomed to it. It is what it is."
This season, he has averaged 16.5 points, 2.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.2 steals, and 16.1 PIR per game in the EuroLeague. He was also named the EuroLeague MVP for October.
