The eight participants for the 2025 Copa del Rey are now confirmed, with BAXI Manresa and FC Barcelona securing their spots on the final day of qualification. The tournament will take place from February 13 to 16 in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria.

On Tuesday morning, the draw for the quarterfinals was held and hosted by Gran Canaria.

The top four seeds -- Unicaja Malaga, Real Madrid, Valencia Basket, and La Laguna Tenerife -- will face the teams ranked 5th to 8th: Joventut Badalona, BAXI Manresa, Dreamland Gran Canaria, and FC Barcelona, respectively.

Unicaja, led by coach Ibon Navarro and the top seed after the first half of the ACB season, will play their quarterfinal match on Thursday, February 13. This scheduling grants them an additional day of rest before a potential semifinal.

Here are the quarterfinal matchups:

  • Unicaja Malaga vs. Joventut Badalona
  • Real Madrid vs. BAXI Manresa
  • Valencia Basket vs. Dreamland Gran Canaria
  • La Laguna Tenerife vs. FC Barcelona

The draw also determined the path to the final. The winner of Unicaja vs. Joventut will face the winner of Tenerife vs. Barcelona in one semifinal.

On the other side, the winner of Real vs. Manresa will meet the winner of Valencia vs. Gran Canaria in the other semifinal.

This setup means that a potential "El Clasico" showdown between Real and Barca could only occur in the final.
