Marko Guduric revealed he plans to return to Crvena Zvezda at some point in his career: "I think it’s just a matter of time before I return."
Marko Guduric is coming back to Belgrade to face his former team, Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade. The left-handed shooter doesn't hide the fact that he wants to play for red-and-whites sometime in the future.
"Everyone knows, it's not a secret," Guduric told Una. "I talk about it all the time with my friends and family. I think it's just a matter of time before I return to Zvezda."
"Some things need to align. We'll see when that will be, but it's certain that the desire is always there.
"It has always been my club, and it always will be. It's just a matter of timing when everything lines up for the club and for me," he added.
Guduric openly expresses his excitement about reconnecting with his friends and playing in front of a packed Belgrade Arena.
"Of course, I know what's waiting for us. I follow every game of Zvezda. I know they've been on a good winning streak, except for the last game they lost in the ABA.
They've really been playing great in the EuroLeague, and I know the arena will definitely be packed. I'm trying to help the new teammates who haven't played in such an atmosphere to understand what they're going to face," Guduric noted.
This season, Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul dealt with many injuries. They signed Errick McCollum to help and take the place of players who can't play.
Guduric reflects on his team's performance amid ongoing injury challenges.
"We have to be very satisfied with our position on the table and the number of wins we have, considering the injury problems," the Serbian international admitted. "We still have them; many players are injured, and throughout the season, new injuries have constantly come up."
"It's not easy. It always takes time for players to fit into the system... I hope that the new players will adjust quickly and that those who are injured will recover so we can play the second half of the season at our best," an experienced shooter concluded.
This season in EuroLeague, the guard averages 9.8 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists.
