Injured Panathinaikos center Mathias Lessort, recovering from a fractured fibula, has already begun light training at OAKA Arena.
Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens center Mathias Lessort can't bear to be away from basketball.
On Friday, despite a serious injury that could sideline him for up to four months, the Frenchman made his way to the OAKA Arena. In the empty gym, he grabbed a basketball and started training, making simple dribbles and passes.
His leg is still in a cast after surgery was performed following the EuroLeague Round 17 win against Baskonia.
A video from the session captures him putting work while sitting on a chair.
Lessort managed to hop off the court on his own on that unfortunate Dec. 19, even as his ankle bent unnaturally. After the game, coach Ergin Ataman hailed him as a "lion."
