Filip Petrusev revealed in a New Year's Eve interview with SportKlub that Nikola Mirotic signed a cheeky gift for his birthday, recalling his controversial three-pointer from 2022 against Crvena Zvezda when he stepped out of bounds.
It has been two seasons since that famous match between Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade and Barcelona in Aleksandar Nikolic Hall, when Nikola Mirotic forced overtime at the buzzer with a three-pointer over Filip Petrusev, right after stepping out of bounds with the ball.

In Belgrade it's still a sensitive topic as that decision turned around Zvezda's whole 2022-23 campaign, and it was really funny to hear how was Petrusev reminded of it on his next birthday.
"Two of my mates... I have no idea how did they find him, they waited for Barcelona to play away against Partizan, with help of Nikola Kalinic who was his teammate they connected with Mirotic. They printed a picture of his shot whilst I'm watching it next to him," Petrusev said for SportKlub.
"Mirotic gave his signature and wrote "Cofi, happy birthday, try to foul me next time", it was funny, I couldn't do anything but to laugh, it was a great joke."
Zvezda had a three-point lead with 7 seconds to go, Mirotic scored a three-pointer as Zvezda opted not to make a foul and the score was 84-84, Barcelona won in overtime 94-99 even though Sarunas Jasikevicius was ejected in the beginning of OT.
