The Canadian big man is leading the competition in rebounds with an average of 10.1 per game. He's also averaging 15.5 points and 22.9 in PIR per contest.

In a recent interview with sportal.gr's Christos Tsaltas, the 27-year-old center responded to the market rumors that link him to EuroLeague teams and took stock of his goals with Venezia.

"How do I not get distracted by the rumors? It's easy," he replied.

"I mean, I don't have Instagram or Twitter. So I don't really see it unless someone sends me a message like a link, which maybe a friend of mine back home in Canada or America might do.

So I don't think about it that much. I mean, it is what it is, rumors. I have a contract with Venice until the end of this season and that's my goal, to finish the year strong."

In light of the rumors that had several teams interested in hiring Kabengele, the player's agent, Sead Galijasevic, clarified that his client is expected to finish the season in Venice.

"Despite interest from top teams, Mfiondu Kabengele will remain with Reyer Venezia for the rest of the season, as the club has decided not to permit his departure," the VP of International Basketball at Wasserman agency posted in an Instagram story.
