The injury occurred during the EuroLeague Round 17 game against Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz, leaving spectators in shock -- so much so that nine people fainted in the OAKA stands.
Despite the severity of the injury, Lessort remains optimistic, sharing a message on X:
"What doesn't kill you makes you stronger!" he tweeted. "Thanks for all the messages and prayers. Love you all! I'll be back stronger than ever."
Players from the French national team, his former teammates, and various EuroLeague clubs and personalities have reached out to send their prayers and support.
Lessort is scheduled to undergo surgery on Friday.
