Virtus Segafredo Bologna forward Tornike Shengelia will be out of action due to an ulcer, with an expected recovery period of 20-30 days, according to Repubblica-Bologna.

Virtus president Massimo Zanetti addressed the situation, assuring fans that Toko Shengelia is progressing in his recovery.
"Shengelia has an ulcer, but fortunately, he's already on the mend thanks to the excellent work of Professor Borghi. He's been treated, and in a few days, he'll be back without any problems. We'll miss him on the court," he concluded.
This season, Shengelia has been averaging 15.3 points and 5.5 rebounds in the EuroLeague.
This is a significant blow to Virtus as they looked to bounce back with a new coach, Dusko Ivanovic. Playing without arguably their best player will for sure make things more difficult for the Italians.
Virtus is currently 17th in the EuroLeague, with a 3-13 record.
