The sanction comes as a result of multiple infractions by fans, including the lighting of flares, offensive chants, and the throwing of objects, all violations of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code (sections 29.2.d, 29.2.f, and 29.2.g).

Despite the historical camaraderie between the fan bases of Olympiacos and Crvena Zvezda, including a bond among their ultras groups, incidents still occurred during the match.

Crvena Zvezda ultimately won the game with a final score of 87-73.
