Alpha Diallo will be sidelined for a minimum of three weeks because of "a fracture of the internal retropolar patellar cartilage of the left knee," his club, AS Monaco, announced.
The American-Guinean wingman was in great shape, including a huge outing against reigning European champions Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens on Vassilis Spanoulis's debut night for EuroLeague Round 12, where he posted career-highs 24 points and 35 in PIR.
He followed up with a 21-point performance against Olympiacos, albeit in a losing effort.
A member of the Roca Team since 2021, the New Yorker has posted his best numbers since arriving in the Principality, averaging 12.4 points at 58.6% 3PT shooting, 4.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 26 minutes.
In EuroLeague, Diallo is averaging 12.1 points on 47.8% from distance, 4.1 rebounds, 1.6 steals and a career-high PIR of 14.6.
