Maccabi's starting center Jasiel Rivero will be sidelined for 4-6 weeks due to a hamstring injury, the club announced.
It is already the second time this season the Cuban big man has been sidelined with a hamstring injury. The first case occurred in early November when Rivero had to miss three games because of it.
Rivero has been the fifth-highest scorer and the third-highest in PIR in the EuroLeague for Maccabi, averaging 10.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.5 assists for 14.6 PIR.
With 4 wins and 10 losses, Maccabi are currently 16th in the EuroLeague standings.
