Calathes' recovery has taken longer than initially anticipated. However, new Monaco head coach Vassilis Spanoulis shared an encouraging update, saying, "He is in the last stage" of his rehabilitation.

If all goes as planned, the veteran guard should return to the court before the end of December.

Monaco first announced Calathes' knee injury on September 30, estimating a recovery time of 3-4 weeks. Nearly two and a half months later, he has yet to appear in a EuroLeague game this season.

The 35-year-old joined Monaco this summer after a stint with Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul, where he averaged 7.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.8 assists across 39 EuroLeague games last season.
