One of them was the future of the EuroLeague as a competition and the role of domestic leagues in each country.

James is clear with his stance on a fully closed league:

"I hope so. I ain't going to be around when it happens, but I hope so. It will just be a better brand, you can market it better, more people would be watching, for sure."

"It just opens up more things, like having more money, having a better TV deal, league could be sponsored by one company like, everyone wearing an Adidas jersey, Nike, something like that."

"I know money isn't everything but as a league we don't make that much money, I don’t know if we even make money at all."

James also gave his opinion on domestic leagues:

"Not saying domestic leagues are the problem because they need money too, and obviously bigger teams generate a lot of that, but something needs to be figured out."

"Someone will say, hey man, I'm losing too much money. I'd like to see us directly in the playoffs, we can start as fifth seed for all I care," James concluded.
