The decision to part ways with Obradovic came after AS Monaco's home loss to Le Mans on Sunday, which left the team with a 5-3 record in the French League.

In the EuroLeague, Monaco holds a 6-4 record, tied for seventh place.

Obradovic, 55, took over as Monaco's head coach in December 2021. He was on an expiring deal, which ran until the end of this season.

Under his leadership, the team won French championships in 2023 and 2024 and reached the EuroLeague Final Four in 2023, a historic achievement for the club, which had only joined the competition in the 2021-22 season.

In all EuroLeague seasons, Monaco reached the playoffs.

Manuchar Markoishvili will take over as Monaco's interim head coach.
