Olympiacos PiraeusChimezie Metu played his best game since arriving to the EuroLeague, scoring 21 points for 20 minutes on the court, shooting 3/4 for 3, and 7/9 from the field overall.
"Yeah, it was great. I think we did a great job from start to finish. Couple of mistakes in defense, but it was a good game overall, I think we were able to overcome that, now it's time to get ready for the next one," Metu clarified.
"EuroLeague is always tough, especially when it's a double-week. We must be prepared we'll play against a really good team in Greece."
Joan Pennaroya was happy with his team's offense, stating there is space for improvement in defense. He also praised Metu's performance.
"It's important to play good in offense. Both first and second half we were good in offense," Pennaroya started.
"More or less we are constantly good in offense, if we could just improve in some defense situations a little bit, especially in one-on-ones. Efes is a team with great offensive rebounding, I'm happy with how we contained it."
"Step by step. Metu is in his first year in the EuroLeague, first year in the ACB. He's an important player for us, and it is crucial that he improves step by step."
