The Dominican point guard started in the EuroLeague Round 2 game against Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade in the Wizink Centre, but had to retire in the middle of the second quarter after scoring a basket.

"It's an injury from which it's not easy to recover immediately and will keep him out for a while," Mateo told the media.

"It's the plantar fascia. The medical tests will determine his range and time of recovery, but it is obvious that we are going to be without him for a while," Mateo predicted.

The club's official announcement confirms the injury, but does not specify the timeline for the player's recovery.

Feliz, 27, who is playing his first season as a Real Madrid player, asked for a substitution as soon as he got hurt and had to leave the court supported by the club's medical assistants.
