Wilbekin's injury is a devastating blow to both him and his team. The 31-year-old guard has a high chance he will have to miss the entire season.

Shortly thereafter, Fenerbahce officially confirmed the injury and announced that the player is scheduled for surgery.

The injury occurred during Fenerbahce's EuroLeague Round 1 game against Olympiacos Piraeus.

Late in the first quarter, with 1:28 remaining, Wilbekin drove to the basket for one of his signature floaters. As he jumped off both feet to take the shot, he felt a sharp pain in his right knee, resulting in a non-contact injury.

He was seen lying on the court in visible pain, clutching his knee, before being helped off by his teammates.
