ASVEL owner Tony Parker confirmed to Le Progres that the club rejected Monaco's proposal for Lee, shutting every possibility of Lee's move to Monte Carlo.
Moreover, Parker revealed that ASVEL are working on extending the 29-year-old's contract until the end of the 2026-27 season.
Monaco explored the market in response to injuries that have depleted Monaco's backcourt rotation in pre-season.
Lee, who signed in Villeurbanne in 2023 until 2025, scored 12 points in a dominant win over JDA Dijon in ASVEL's pre-season finale.
Last season, in his third EuroLeague campaign, Lee averaged 11.5 points, 1.9 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.7 steals, leading ASVEL with a 13.7 PIR, tying with Nando De Colo but playing 12 more games.
Lee previously played for Monaco in their debut EuroLeague season, where he averaged 7.2 points and 2.4 assists, catching the attention of Panathinaikos Athens, which he joined for the 2022-23 season.
