Sehmus Hazer was fined 350,000 Turkish liras (~€9283) for not attending the Turkish national team's training camp. He was preparing to play for the Sacramento Kings in the 2024 California Classic around that time.
Before signing with Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul, Sehmus Hazer played in the NBA's California Classic this summer. He was fined by the Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF) for it.

On September 3rd, the TBF announced that Hazer has been fined 350,000 Turkish liras (~€9283) for not showing up to the Turkish national team's training camp on June 24th.
Interestingly, ten days after the start of the national team's training camp, Hazer's name was officially included in one of the two Sacramento Kings rosters for the 2024 California Classic, a series of Summer League-type games in which NBA teams participate.
Turkiye played two friendly games this summer and did not participate in any international tournament. The first game was played on June 27th against the Philippines (84-73 victory), while the second matchup was against France on July 3rd (46-96 loss).
At least the second game would've directly clashed with the California Classic for Hazer. He averaged 3.7 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 2 assists in three games with the Kings.
Famously, Shane Larkin and Scottie Wilbekin were fined by the TBF last summer for not attending the national team's training camp as well, despite claiming to be injured at the time.
TBF's full statement:
