Maodo Lo's tenure in Milan lasted only one season. The German guard has joined EuroLeague newcomers Paris Basketball.
Paris Basketball registered its 5th summer addition by signing Maodo Lo, 31, from Olimpia Milan.
Further details regarding the duration of the contract were not revealed. Lo went to Milan from ALBA Berlin after initiating his career at Brose Bamberg.
The German point guard joins a backcourt already featuring TJ Shorts and Nadir Hifi, after a season in which he averaged 7.6 points (40.3% on three-pointers), 1.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists over 21 EuroLeague matches and 7.4 points, 1.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists on 36.4% 3-point shooting in 20 minutes in the Italian league.
Milan did not count on Lo for the upcoming season and the 2023 world champion was not included in Ettore Messina's plans for the 2024-25 season, according to La Prealpina.
The arrival of Leandro Bolmaro and Nenad Dimitrijevic automatically made Lo's presence doubtful. The player and the Italian powerhouse had to work on his release, since he had a contract valid for the upcoming season as well.
Overall, Maodo Lo has 220 Euroleague matches under his belt, with 8.8 points, 2.6 assists and 1.6 rebounds on average. He scored 6.6 points in 16 minutes during the 2023 World Cup contest, but had a reduced role at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where Germany came in 4th (0.7 points in 7 minutes per game).
