Kevin Durant delivered an unforgettable performance in Team USA's Paris 2024 Olympic Games opener against Serbia, demonstrating why he is considered one of the greatest shooters in Olympic basketball history.

Initially uncertain to play, Durant didn't start but entered late in the first quarter, immediately making an impact.

Famous American TV personality Skip Bayless praised KD's impact in the USA's opening Olympic game, stating that his performance was crucial for the victory.

"I can't believe what I just witnessed. I wasn't even sure Kevin Durant could play today. I was very surprised that if he was going to play, he didn't even start. Then he comes in late first quarter and does that?"

According to Bayless, Durant's extraordinary shooting display, including 21 points on 8 of 8 shooting and 5 of 5 from three-point range in the first half, made a decisive difference.

"Greatest shooting streak we've ever seen in Olympic basketball history because before halftime, he scores 21 points in little more than a quarter on 8 of 8, 5 of 5 from three. Never seen anything like it."

Bayless was initially skeptical about Durant's availability. However, KD quickly proved his worth, scoring effortlessly and dismantling Serbia's defense.

"Shot Serbia right between the eyes, right in the heart. Game over by halftime," Bayless noted.

Serbia started strong, leading 10-2, but Durant's scoring spree shifted the momentum decisively.

Bayless expressed doubt that the USA could have won the game without Durant's contributions.

"Seriously, if Kevin Durant didn't do what he just did, I am not convinced we would have won that group play first-round basketball game. I am not sure we would have won it. Serbia came out scrappy, hot, engaged, up 10 to 2. I'm not sure we would have won it without Kevin Durant."
