Embiid said his whole focus was on improving as a member of Team USA.
Team USA is going to play against Serbia in their very first match in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. With a matchup between NBA MVPs Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic enticing basketball fans worldwide, at least one of them is not focused on it.

Embiid was asked about the awaiting duel against the Serbian big man, and the now-Team USA center admitted not particularly paying much attention to it.
"I don't care about Jokic. You know, I play for my national team. It's all about focusing on ourselves and trying to make sure everybody's on the same page," Embiid told the media on Monday.
"When we get there, we're going to know what we've got to focus on. Right now, it's just about finding ways to get better every single day," he explained.
Team USA played against the Select Team, winning by just a single point. Steve Kerr's men are now going to play against Canada on Wednesday, July 10th, before heading to Abu Dhabi, UAE, to play two test games against Australia and Serbia, where Embiid will get to match up against Jokic prior to the Paris Olympics.
