Pangos suffered a Grade 3 hamstring tear against MoraBanc Andorra and will miss the rest of the season.
A largely disappointing season for Kevin Pangos has turned even worse.
Valencia Basket announced that the 31-year-old guard would be out for the season with a hamstring injury.
Pangos has suffered a Grade 3 hamstring tear in his left leg, the medical tests determined. He picked up the injury during the last Spanish Liga Endesa (ACB) regular-season game against MoraBanc Andorra.
Starting the season with EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, Pangos transferred to Valencia mid-season following some controversial comments by head coach Ettore Messina. After the transfer, Pangos played in 12 EuroLeague games for Valencia, averaging just 1.9 points and 2.3 assists per game for 1.9 PIR in over 13 minutes of playing time.
Pangos' stats in the ACB were a bit better - 3.9 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 2.8 assists for 3.7 PIR.
Valencia will play against UCAM Murcia in the quarterfinals. If Valencia advance further, they will play against the winner of the pair of Unicaja Malaga and BAXI Manresa.
