The 2023-24 EuroLeague regular season has come to an end, and it's time to reflect on what happened. Like every season, certain players had breakout years and those who experienced a decline or simply could not adapt to the EuroLeague level and physicality.

But this article focuses on the brighter side as BasketNews explores the EuroLeague players who exceeded expectations.

These individuals have showcased resilience, surpassing doubts stemming from past injuries, previous season roles, pause from basketball, or being EuroLeague rookies.

Marco Belinelli | G | Virtus

"Scariolo treated Marco like he was some kind of finished player. It was a big mistake," Gianluca Basile didn't mince words regarding former Virtus coach Sergio Scariolo.

Many had written off Belinelli last year, but Luca Banchi sparked a renaissance in him this season. At 38, he ended up as the 13th-best EuroLeague scorer during the regular season.

Additionally, the Italian sharpshooter drained 2.6 three-pointers per game, ranking third in the entire league.

"Finally, we've changed the coach," Belinelli recently joked about his situation.
