Frederic Fauthoux has agreed to coach JL Bourg for three more years, with his contract including a EuroLeague exit clause, per BasketNews sources.
The EuroCup finalist, Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse, has reached an extension agreement with head coach Frederic Fauthoux, sources confirmed to BasketNews.
Per sources, the 51-year-old Frenchman will sign a new three-year contract that will include a EuroLeague exit clause starting in the summer of 2025.
ASVEL Villeurbanne had recently targeted Fauthoux, but the EuroLeague-bound French side will now have to explore other options in the coaching market.
Arnaud Lecomte of L'Equipe was the first to report the extension agreement between Fauthoux and JL Bourg.
Fauthoux led JL Bourg to the EuroCup finals this year, and they will begin the best-of-three series against Paris Basketball on April 9.
In the French league, JL Bourg is currently tied for third place with ASVEL
