Different players throughout EuroLeague basketball reacted to Hayes-Davis's monster performance, lauding him for his fantastic show of scoring.
"Nigel Hayes-Davis. Wow," posted Mike James, the current leader of the MVP ladder for the 2023-24 EuroLeague season, on X (formerly Twitter).
He was joined by FC Barcelona's captain, sharpshooting specialist Alex Abrines, who wrote "Sick" and tagged Nigel Hayes-Davis.
Another notable reaction came from former EuroLeague star guard Tyrese Rice. The retired player wrote, "50 in EuroLeague so tough!"
The Fenerbahce player broke the record previously belonging to derby rival Shane Larkin of Anadolu Efes Istanbul, who had scored 49 points against FC Bayern Munich in the canceled 2019-20 season.
