The EuroCup season is just a few games away from its conclusion, and BasketNews is providing a list of EuroCup standouts who have the best chances of signing their first EuroLeague contracts.

It's important to note that not all the players listed will necessarily make a move to the EuroLeague this offseason. There may be other signings beyond this top ten that could also potentially secure EuroLeague contracts. Additionally, this list doesn't rank or include all the best EuroCup players.

This list was compiled based on insights from the EuroLeague market, the interest these players have received, and their on-court potential demonstrated throughout the season.

It's worth mentioning that this list only includes EuroCup players who have no prior EuroLeague experience.

TJ Shorts

TJ Shorts has excelled on various levels, and all signs point to the inevitable moment when the 26-year-old guard steps on the EuroLeague court.

According to BasketNews sources, TJ Shorts received the EuroLeague offer last summer. However, due to uncertainties regarding his role and the ideal platform in Paris, he opted to reunite with his former coach, Tuomas Iisalo, and is enjoying a successful stint in the EuroCup semifinals.

This season, Shorts is the top three scorer in the EuroCup, boasting averages of 17.8 points (55.3% 2P, 28.1% 3P), along with 3.2 rebounds, 7.6 assists, and 1.8 steals per game.

Notably, TJ Shorts leads the EuroCup in contested shots made (50.2%) and ranks second in total ISO shots made (38.8%). Additionally, he holds the top rankings in assists and points off assists and boasts the best +/- rating in the entire competition.

For Shorts, reaching the EuroLeague with Paris would be the ideal scenario. It would allow him to remain under the guidance of a coach who knows how to optimize his abilities and has a clear vision for his development at the highest level.

Although past experiences with 1.75m EuroLeague players may not inspire confidence, Shorts is accustomed to defying expectations.

Trevion Williams

You cannot ignore a single big man who averages more than 4 assists per game alongside the double-doubles he achieved in 18 EuroCup games. It's simply impossible.

Especially when discussing a first-year rookie in Europe, putting up 14.8 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 4.3 assists for Ratiopharm Ulm.

At only 23 years old, he possesses a skill set rarely seen in a center: his NFL full-court or over-the-shoulder passes are something even pure point guards could learn from.

Offensively, he is a force around the rim and creates extra opportunities with 3.7 offensive rebounds per game.

However, defensively, he is often targeted in pick-and-roll and switch defenses. Trevion Williams has his flaws, but he is undoubtedly worth the risk, offering something unique at the EuroLeague level.

Juan Nunez

Juan Nunez, a talented 19-year-old point guard standing at 1.92 meters, is currently under contract with Ratiopharm Ulm until 2026. Despite his young age, Nunez is already making waves on a high level, projected as the 24th pick in the latest ESPN NBA mock draft.

However, it is anticipated that he will be stashed next year and make the move to the EuroLeague. According to BasketNews sources, Nunez has already
