Tarpey is expected to be sidelined for six weeks before returning to play.
The 30-year-old guard has played in only six EuroLeague games this season, averaging 1.2 points and 1.2 rebounds per game.
With 19 wins and 11 losses, Monaco are currently sharing third place in the EuroLeague standings.
