According to Eurodevotion, which is confirmed by BasketNews sources, the Italian executive will depart the team at the end of the 2023-24 season.

Eurodevotion indicates that Baiesi is stepping down on personal accord. He will be departing the team that he has been serving in the last 7 years, since 2017.

With Baiesi, Bayern won the German Basketball League, the BBL, twice in succession (2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons) and made the EuroLeague playoffs twice (2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons). In the latter two scenarios, they were barely eliminated 3-2 by EA7 Emporio Armani Milan and FC Barcelona, respectively.

Before his stint with Bayern, the Italian executive worked in Brose Bamberg and as a talent scout for the Detroit Pistons before his first experience in Germany.
