Joel Parra, who plays for the Spanish national team, suffered an injury in the first FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers game against Latvia.
The Spaniard twisted his ankle and fell to the floor in pain after colluding with Marcis Steinbergs with 5 minutes and 31 seconds remaining in the first quarter. He was escorted to the locker room and has not checked into the game since then.

Parra moved to FC Barcelona in the summer of 2023 after 4 years with Joventut Badalona.
