In an Instagram post announcing Zvezdan Mitrovic's sacking, Arroyo wrote the following as a comment.

"With all the respect and love I have for the fans of Galatasaray and the Club, I believe is time to give an ex-player the opportunity to be the Head Coach of this Team. In my opinion culture is everything. We haven't had consistency in bringing somebody that will change that. I hope lm not offending anyone. I just want to see the Team Win a Championship again.

All the best to the new coach and his staff.

Previously, Mitrovic was sacked by the Turkish team after he allowed JDA Dijon to mount a formidable comeback from 25 points down.

Arroyo was with Galatasaray for just two seasons (2013-2015) but left a strong impact on the team and its fans during a time when the club was at its peak, making the EuroLeague playoffs in the 2013-14 season.

He often comments on Galatasaray's posts, responding to fans and supporting the team in games.
