Panathinaikos AKTOR AthensIn the post-game conference of the Zalgiris-BC Mazeikiai game in the Lithuanian Basketball League, coach Andrea Trinchieri of Zalgiris remarked that the two players suffered injuries in the game, which was a blowout win of 103-75 for the green-and-white team.
Manek injured his knee, and Giedraitis sustained one on his ankle.
Trinchieri did not reveal the extent of the injuries, only stating that the team will be evaluating the injuries "in the coming hours."
Both players contributed to Zalgiris's winning effort as they were starters in the game. Manek scored 11 points while grabbing 2 rebounds and dishing out 2 assists in 16 minutes, while the Lithuanian national Giedraitis had 2 points, 1 rebound, and 3 assists in 12 minutes.
