Recently, Italian media outlet Corriere della Sera sparked speculation by reporting Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade's interest in EA7 Emporio Armani Milan forward Nicolo Melli.

However, Partizan president Ostoja Mijailovic swiftly dismissed any links between the Serbian club and the Italian veteran.

"At the club, there has been no discussion about Mell," Mijailovic pointed out, via Nikola Stojkovic of Mozzart Sport. "Currently, we have no plans for the next season. Our priority is extending the contracts of players whose agreements are expiring and who have the approval of the coaching staff.

"Melli was never on our radar, and we cannot afford the astronomical contract mentioned in the reports," he added. "These stories seem to have originated from an unknown source, and I'm not giving them any attention."

Melli, the 32-year-old captain of Olimpia Milano, will see his three-year contract, signed in 2021, expire on June 30.

Melli averages 7.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 11.3 PIR over 16 EuroLeague games this season for Milan.
