Nico Mannion and Baskonia have mutually agreed to part ways, leading Mannion to join Pallacanestro Varese in Italy.
Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz and Italian guard Nico Mannion have officially parted ways, as announced by the Spanish team.
Both parties have mutually agreed to terminate their agreement, which began last summer.
As previously reported by BasketNews, Mannion is joining the Italian team Pallacanestro Varese. Luis Scola, the owner of Pallacanestro Varese, has played a pivotal role in facilitating Mannion's return to Italy.
Since his arrival in Spain this past summer, Mannion has faced challenges in securing a consistent role with the Basque team. Particularly following the appointment of coach Dusko Ivanovic, his position within the team's rotations significantly diminished.
Throughout eight EuroLeague games this season, Mannion averaged 6.0 points, 1.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 4.3 PIR.
