Belgrade will have another high-level team from Israel hosting its home games in the city due to a war in the Middle Eastern country.

The Basketball Champions League officially announced that Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem will play their home games in Group G in Belgrade, Serbia. The matches will take place in Pionir Hall, now known as the Aleksandar Nikolic Hall.

The games will be played behind closed doors. The Serbian government and the Serbian Basketball Federation (KSS) ensured safety during the matchups, which played a key part in making the decision, the league announced.

The first such game is scheduled for November 1st against Galatasaray Ekmas Istanbul. Hapoel are set to host the remaining two games on December 13th and December 20th against PAOK mateco Thessaloniki and SL Benfica, respectively.

Hapoel, coached by Serbian specialist Aleksandar Dzikic, joins Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv as the second team to play in Pionir during the war in Israel. Earlier in the week, the EuroLeague announced that Maccabi would play their home games in the iconic venue as well.
