Janis Timma officially joins Darussafaka Lassa.
Darussafaka Lassa have reached an agreement with Latvian small forward Janis Timma, according to the official team's announcement.
In the early stages of his professional career, which began in 2008, Timma gained recognition for his performances while wearing the ASK Riga, Liepajas Lauvas, Ventspils, and VEF Riga jerseys.
He took a significant step in his career when he was selected as the 60th pick in the 2013 NBA Draft.
The 31-year-old later represented teams like Zenit, Baskonia, Olympiacos, and Khimki throughout his EuroLeague and EuroCup journey.
Timma also had a G-League stint at Lakeland Magic before his most recent stay with Grises de Humacao, a Puerto Rican team.
Timma did not make the final Latvian NT roster for the recently finished FIBA World Cup 2023, expressing his deep disappointment and confusion after becoming the last-minute cut.
