Jaka Blazic will make his return for the Slovenia national team in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 quarterfinal against Canada.

"This is the kind of game where you forget all the pain and other things and go one hundred percent towards the goal," Blazic confirmed to the Slovenian media before the game.

Blazic suffered a back injury against Georgia after a hard fall on the court. He missed the last two games against Australia and Germany.

"On Tuesday, I did my first practice with contact, so I will be available to the coach for the game against Canada. Previously, I worked individually and tried to stay in the rhythm. Now I feel much better than two days ago, and we will see how much I play. That it's up to the coach to decide," Blazic added.

The 33-year-old Blazic averages 5.0 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 3.0 EFF in this FIBA World Cup.
