The point guard of Fenerbahce suffered a rupture of the patellar tendon in his right knee, the Brazilian federation announced.

Raul suffered a fall at the beginning of the third quarter and was attended to immediately, still on the court, with a suspected rupture of the patellar tendon. The injury was confirmed in an MRI scan performed minutes later at the event's official hospital, under the guidance and monitoring of the Director of Health and physician of the Brazilian National Team, Carlos Vicente Andreoli.

Most of the time, for that type of injury, a recovery time of six up to 12 months is required.

Neto suffered the rupture in the jump movement. The athlete was immobilized, and according to the official announcement, he is now at the hotel with the delegation and under the care of the medical department. With the diagnosis, he is out of the rest of the World Cup and, at this moment, the CBB deals with the athlete's logistical issues.

Heading to the mixed zone, veteran guard Marcelinho Huertas was in shock when the incident happened and admitted that he was scared upon seeing his teammate down.

"I haven't been inside, we haven't spoken to the doctor, but it didn't look good out there," he said in the mixed zone.

"We don't have more news but it seems serious. We'll know more in a while. But it didn't look good," he stressed.
