Diego Flaccadori is the newest addition to Olimpia Milano's backcourt.
Diego Flaccadori has become the latest addition for EA7 Emporio Armani Milan. The 27-year-old point guard has signed a two-year deal with the Italian powerhouse that runs through 2025.
After a year in Treviglio, in Serie A2, Flaccadori arrived in Trento before the 2014-15 season at just 18, making his debut in Serie A immediately. He played five seasons in Trento, including two championship finals in 2017 and 2018, before joining Bayern Munich in the summer of 2019 and staying there for two years. In 2021 he returned to Trento to play another two seasons.
In 2021-22, he averaged 15.4 points per game, along with 3.7 assists. In 2022-23, he averaged 13.2 points and 3.2 assists per contest.
Flaccadori made his debut for the national team in Treviso on 23 February 2018, scoring 10 points in Italy's victory over the Netherlands. He was named best Under-22 player in the Serie A championship in 2016.
"Flaccadori arrives in Milan at the right moment in his career, young, motivated, but already experienced. In the last two years he has played so well both in the league and in the Eurocup. We are delighted to welcome him into our family," said Milan's general manager Christos Stavropoulos.
