The fourth new player has arrived in Israel.
Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv have officially announced that Jasiel Rivero has joined the club on a two-year deal.
The second year of the contract is an option, Arel Ginsber from Israel Hayom reported. Negotiations with Rivero progressed quicker and more smoothly than with other candidates.
Although there was interest in Noah Vonleh and Frank Kaminsky, as previously reported, the negotiations fell through due to salary disagreements, Ginsber notes.
The Cuban big man played for Valencia Basket last season, averaging 9.4 points and 3.5 rebounds for 9.2 PIR. His stats were better in the Spanish Liga Endesa - 11.7 points and 4.2 rebounds for 14.4 PIR.
Rivero joins Tamir Blatt, James Webb III, and Antonius Cleveland as the fourth signing of the Israeli club this offseason.
