Argentinian wing Leandro Bolmaro became the first summer addition of FC Bayern Munich, according to the official announcement. Both sides agreed on a two-year deal.

Position: SF
Age: 22
Height: 201 cm
Weight: 91 kg
Birth place: Cordoba, Argentina

Bolmaro last played for Lenovo Tenerife. He returned to Europe later in the 2022-23 season after terminating his deal with the Utah Jazz. He joined the Spanish team with a contract until the end of the last season.

With Tenerife, Bolmaro averaged 5.3 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 0.6 assists per game in the ACB. Before signing with Tenerife, Bolmaro had talks about returning to FC Barcelona, but those conversations didn't end up in a deal.

Bolmaro was selected with the 23rd pick overall in the 2020 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves.

But after arriving in the NBA, the former Barcelona player struggled to find a consistent role, and he ended up getting traded to the Jazz as part of the massive Rudy Gobert deal.

Coach Pablo Laso's arrival at Bayern marks the start of the new Munich project.

"Lea is a steal," Laso said of his newcomer. "He has EuroLeague and NBA experience and is a young talent who can defend any position. At the same time, as a pure point guard, he can dictate the pace on offense. He is tall and athletic, and his great mentality makes him one of Argentina's most promising future prospects."
