Vanja Marinkovic confirmed he will stay with Baskonia. The 26-year-old has a contract with the Spanish club until the end of the 2023-24 season.
Cazoo Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz guard Vanja Marinkovic will remain with the team.
The 26-year-old Serbian addressed some rumors regarding his future, adding that he doesn't expect many changes in the team.
"I’m staying in Baskonia, like most of the team. Only Darius Thompson will most likely leave the club," Marinkovic said in the Kod Luka I Kuzma podcast.
Marinkovic has a contract with Baskonia until the end of the 2023-24 season.
During the last EuroLeague season, Marinkovic averaged 9.1 points, 1.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 6.4 PIR per game in 34 appearances.
Marinkovic also talked a little bit about Thompson, saying that he's in talks with at least two EuroLeague teams.
"He's an extremely dedicated person, not a classic American. His wife is from Italy, and he is in talks with Milan and Fenerbahce, so we will see where he will continue," added Marinkovic.
