Moraitis signed a three-year deal with Panathinaikos. He previously played for Peristeri under coach Vassilis Spanoulis.
Several days after officially announcing their new head coach, Panathinaikos Athens have added a second player to the roster.
According to the club's official announcement, Greek forward Dimitris Moraitis has joined the organization on a three-year deal.
Moraitis has averaged 6.8 points, 2.5 assists, and 2.3 rebounds with Peristeri across BCL and Greek league games, being a personal choice of coach Vassilis Spanoulis.
He signed his first pro contract with Panionios in 2014. In 2015 he moved to AEK where he made his Greek League debut. With AEK, he won the Greek Cup title, in 2018, and the FIBA Champions League title as well.
In August 2019, the Greek guard was loaned to Kolossos Rhodes for the 2019-2020 season. Two years later, Moraitis signed a two-year deal with Peristeri.
During the 2021-22 campaign, in a total of 21 Greek league games, he averaged 9.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.2 steals, playing around 23 minutes per contest.
