The decision comes as a result of his dissatisfaction with working alongside head coach TJ Parker, prompting him to transfer to the neighboring JL Bourg team.

Like Victor Wembanyama in 2022, LDCL ASVEL Villeurbanne 18-year-old talent Zaccharie Risacher will leave the French EuroLeague club a season before his Draft year, according to Gabriel Pantel-Jouve of BeBasket.

Per the same report, due to his dissatisfaction with working alongside head coach TJ Parker, he has decided to transfer to the nearby JL Bourg team after the current campaign is over.

Ricacher finished his second EuroLeague season in 2022-23, averaging 3.2 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 2.5 PIR over 18 games (13 minutes).

According to ESPN's 2024 NBA mock draft, Risacher is expected to go No. 3 overall.

At the beginning of April, ASVEL president Tony Parker stated that the club would build the team around Risacher, Nando De Colo, and Joffrey Lauvergne next season.

"Next season, the most important thing is Zaccharie Risacher," Parker underlined at the time. "He will be the heart of our strategy."

ASVEL even planned an American tour in the upcoming summer to expose Risacher as much as possible.
