Real Madrid center Vincent Poirier has been operated on for acute appendicitis in the Spanish capital, the Spanish team officially announced.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of Real medical services. The player's evolution is pending, while his return to the court was not defined.

Poirier, 29, averages 5.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 8.0 PIR over 31 EuroLeague games.

The Frenchman joins a long list of missing and questionable Real players before the EuroLeague Round 33 home game vs. FC Bayern Munich.

Rudy Fernandez and Fabien Causeur missed the last practice and remain questionable for the game on Thursday night. Nigel Williams-Goss and Sergio Llull will be sidelined.
