AS Monaco denied Roanne's attempts to take over the game en route to the third win in a row in the French Basketball League (LNB).

AS Monaco (3-0) captured their third win in the French Basketball League (LNB) against Roanne (1-2) 109-85 (22-15, 30-27, 29-23, 28-20) ahead of a long-awaited start in the EuroLeague.

Monaco immediately got off to a strong start and already held a 9-point lead with 5 minutes to go in the first quarter (17-8). Roanne, however, started the second quarter with an 8-0 run to take the lead (23-22), forcing Sasa Obradovic to call a timeout.

Following the stoppage, Monaco regained the lead and even built themselves a 10-point advantage after Yakuba Ouattara's three-pointer (42-32).

The favorites continued building the lead slowly but surely, and Roanne trailed by 16 points after three (81-65). All the last 10 minutes did was allow to score for all Monaco players who appeared on the court.

Mike James led the Monegasque team with 20 points on 5-for-7 shooting, making 8 free throws out of 11, while also adding 5 rebounds and 6 assists for 24 PIR. Yakuba Ouattara was second in scoring with 13 points in his account.

Maxime Roos and Kadri Moendadze were tied-first in scoring in Roanne's team with 12 points each.
