This time, 2PlayBook reported the financial situation of FC Barcelona. The Spanish powerhouse was unable to adjust salaries to meet the 2021-22 budget, as it lost €2.0 million more than expected.
According to 2PlayBook information, Barca recorded a €30.0 million total loss this past campaign. It wasn't the largest amount in the team's history, as Barcelona lost €34.7 million in 2020-21.
Catalans' budget for players and staff members rose to €36.0 million last season, and it was €2.0 million more than in 2020-21.
FC Barcelona's 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21, and 2021-22 losses combine for €115.2 million.
Barca reportedly don't plan to have a cut in payroll for the 2022-23 season. Club's wage bill is expected to be €37.0 million for this upcoming season.
They also expect a record-breaking income of €17.0 million and losses up to €28.0 million in 2022-23.
