Germany (2-0) defended their home court once more. After beating Tokyo Olympics runner-up France in the first game, Germany overcame Bosnia and Herzegovina (1-1) for the second straight victory.

Five German players were in double-digits as the hosts defeated the visitors, 92-82 (18-20, 24-27, 28-11, 22-24).

Jusuf Nurkic and Dzanan Musa combined for 33 points in the first half and Bosnia had a 5-point cushion (47-42) at halftime but the view changed drastically after the 15-minute break.

Led by Dennis Schroder and Johannes Voightmann, Germany went on a 12-0 run to retake the tangible lead (54-47). They won the third tally by 17 points.

Germany continued its domination and had plus 17 (77-60) at the start of the fourth quarter, after a 7-0 push. Seemed that was more than enough to secure a convincing W but Bosnia and Herzegovina came back to the match.

Dzanan Musa-John Roberson ignited a 16-5 spurt to reduce the deficit to 6 points (76-82) with 3 minutes to go. Nevertheless, it was Franz Wagner, who spoke the last word and sealed the deal for Germany, draining a game-clinching three with 37 seconds to play.

Dennis Schroder was the top performer for Germany, registering 18 points (5/14 2PT, 1/3 3PT, 5/5 FT), 3 rebounds, 9 assists, and 19 EFF.

It was a two-man game for the losing side. Dzanan Musa posted 30 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists, and 29 EFF, while Jusuf Nurkic had 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 17 EFF.

Germany: Dennis Schroder 18 (9 AST), Franz Wagner 18 (5 REB), Johannes Thiemann 14 (5 REB), Andreas Obst 13, Johannes Voightmann 10 (5 REB).

Bosnia and Herzegovina: Dzanan Musa 30, Jusuf Nurkic 21 (7 REB), John Roberson 13.
