Dolomiti Energia Trento officially announced the arrival of Matteo Spagnolo on loan from Real Madrid for the upcoming season.
The 19-year-old guard, who the Minnesota Timberwolves drafted with the 50th pick overall in the 2022 NBA Draft, is under contract with Real until 2024.
Spagnolo spent last season on loan with a fellow Italian League squad Cremona, where he posted 12.2 points on 44.1% three-point shooting, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in domestic action.
The 1.94-meter player averaged 15.5 minutes, 3.2 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in five NBA Summer League games.
Spagnolo is among the 17-man roster selected by Gianmarco Pozzecco, the head coach of the Italian national team, in preparation for EuroBasket 2022.
