The reigning champions FC Barcelona defeated Gran Canaria in a hard battle on the court in Game 2 of the ACB quarterfinals.

Sarunas Jasikevicius's team conquered the win through their defense in an exciting ending with the final score of 88-86 (15-18, 26-28, 22-20, 25-20). Barca advanced to the semifinal.
In the upcoming semifinal series, the Catalans will face either Joventut Badalona or Tenerife.
AJ Slaughter made a jumper and Gran Canaria took a 2-point lead (80-78) with 3 minutes left, but Nicolas Laprovittola answered with a floater on the other end (80-80).
Nikola Mirotic hit a layup (82-81) with 1:50 to go, then Barcelona stopped the opponents on their offense twice, and Laprovittola extended the lead to 3 points (84-81) with 20 seconds left after making a couple of free throws.
Dylan Ennis drained an unbelievable desperate 3-pointer to tie the game (84-84) with 4 seconds left, and it seemed that the game would go to overtime.
But then came Cory Higgins' turn. He beat the buzzer with a fantastic fade-away jumper to steal the victory for the visitors (88-86).
Nikola Mirotic led Barcelona with 21 points (3/6 2PT, 3/7 3PT, 6/6 FT), 9 rebounds, and 29 PIR.
On the opposing side, Dylan Ennis was the high-scorer for Gran Canaria, ending with 26 points (3/6 2PT, 4/8 3PT, 8/8 FT), 4 assists, and 28 PIR.
